CLUB HISTORY
The company for sport activities Handball Club Butel Skopje AD Skopje is a Macedonian handball club formed in 2017. This club had also existed in the past, named after a municipality in Skopje and thanks to the managing structure and the effort of the nowadays generations is once again among the handball primates in the Republic of North Macedonia.
Initially, the club was formed as an Association of citizens by distinguished names in the handball as well as new, young and prospective generations who paved the way for the club to stand among the best clubs in the country.
Even in its first year of existence in the competition season 2017/2018, as part of the men handball league, the club won first place on the ranking board, with only one defeats and secured its participation in the male handball super league for the season of 2018/2019.
Within the Macedonian male super league in the season of 2018/2019, becoming a Joint Stock company, the club was able to secure its way to the playoffs and eventually, participation in the European competitions, i.e. EHF European Cup.
HC Butel Skopje AD was also part of the F4 tournament from the Macedonian Handball Cup.
HC Butel Skopje AD, although a new club, pleasantly surprising the public, was able to transform itself into a powerful club in a short period of time and compete shoulder to shoulder with eminent clubs from the domestic and foreign sports scenes.
Future plans and new challenges
Handball school
RK BUTEL Skopje AD Skopje, starting from 15 September, 2019 is commencing a new project - a handball school that will provide all interested parties with the opportunity to be part of sports i.e. handball.
The goal of the school is to provide all interested individuals with the opportunity to use their talent for handball and further develop it, assisted by the school’s experts and eventually shape them into a professional handball player for the RK Butel Skopje AD Skopje brand.
The school is located in the Municipality of Butel. Trainings are held in the sports hall Anton Dimitrov in the following time slots:
